Resveratrol demonstrated the ability to modulate certain pro-inflammatory immunoglobulins in human adipose tissue. These immunoglobulins have been associated with the development of Metabolic Syndrome in humans.
Past studies have shown resveratrol to activate the SIRT 1 gene, a gene that when activated in animal models, was shown to increase longevity.
