Why work with a registered dietitian?
In the U.S. there are no laws or rules governing who can use the title of nutritionist. Anyone can use this label, or similar ones such as certified nutrition specialist or nutrition educator, without completing any formal education to provide nutrition information to the public.
A registered dietitian is required by law to obtain a bachelor's or master's degree in Nutritional Science, complete a full time medical residency to learn how to address every possible medical diagnosis with nutrition strategies, pass a national licensing exam, and regularly update their skills through required continuing education.
Alissa has the academic and clinical expertise to provide personalized nutrition plans to those wanting to embrace a healthy lifestyle and/or manage health issues.
As a registered dietitian, Alissa offers a wide variety of nutrition services. She provides a true understanding of nutrition, how it affects your health and wellness, and focuses on lifelong solutions for your specific goals. Alissa prides herself on offering individualized scientific-based programs to meet your needs. All of her services are available for children and adults.
